Who we are
Stock & Sold is a product of CGI Web Services, a web design and hosting business based on the Isle of Man. For anything in this policy, contact hello@cgiweb.im or call 07624 432280.
What we collect and why
Demo requests. When you ask for a free demo we collect your name, dealership name, phone number, and optionally your email, a link to where your cars are listed, and anything you write in the message box. We use these to build your demo site and to contact you about it. That is the whole purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Building your demo. If you give us a link to your existing listings, we use the publicly visible stock details and photos from it to populate your demo, at your request.
Technical data. Like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. The demo form also records your IP address to limit abuse of the form. Logs are rotated and deleted on a short cycle.
If you become a customer. We hold your contact and billing details for the life of the service and as required for accounting. Card payments are handled by Stripe; your card number never touches our server.
Where your data lives
Demo requests and customer data are stored on our own server, provided by IONOS and located in the United Kingdom, and copies of demo requests arrive in our email. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing. The only third parties involved are our service providers: IONOS (hosting) and Stripe (payments), each processing data only to provide their service.
How long we keep it
If you ask for a demo and decide it is not for you, tell us and we delete the demo site and your request details. Demo requests that go nowhere are cleared out periodically. Customer records are kept for the duration of the service and then as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@cgiweb.im and we will sort it, normally within a few days. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner or, if you are in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
